The program is sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and is organized by School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA), Fudan University.
Program Introduction
The program is a major supporting activity of the Shanghai Committee and Shanghai municipal government for the implementation of China’s Go Out Policy. Themed on “Consensus, Common Prosperity and Sharing”, the Advanced Training Program for Young Diplomatic Talents from One Belt One Road (OBOR) Initiative Countries aims to build a platform for young diplomatic talents from OBOR countries to cooperate, study and achieve mutual development. The program tells the story of political, economic, social, cultural and ecological enhancements in China, promotes the understanding of and the interest in China’s new diplomatic strategy, the One Belt One Road Initiatives and regional cooperation and governance reforms so that the young diplomatic talents are able to furtherly understand the strategic positioning of Shanghai and China in globalization and achieve the consensus on the public diplomacy of OBOR Initiative countries.
Curriculum Introduction
The curriculum comprises seven modules and 18 topics including the Reform and Development of China’s Political System, China’s Economic Transformation, Development and Innovation-driven Strategy, The Modernization of China’s Social Governance System, Chinese Cultural Inheritance and Modernization, China’s New Diplomatic Strategy, National Conditions Observation and Regional Cooperation and Mutual Development of OBOR Countries. Seminars, group discussions and field trips will be organized for the young diplomatic talents. Leading experts, senior diplomats and practical specialists will be invited to the English taught program.

3、Fee
- Application fee: 400 yuan
- Tuition fee: 15,750 yuan (including the lodge and accommodation fee and the tuition fee)
- The first 20 applicants shall be waivers of fees (including the lodge and accommodation fee and the tuition fee )
4、Application Materials
- One passport-sized recent photo
- One page of Personal Statement in English (no more than 1,000 words)
- You need to hold a passport with a validity period of no less than six months and should remain valid until October 30, 2017. The photocopies of the personal information page (necessary), the visa page or the permenent residence page (if applicable) shall be required.
- Photocopy of the valid passport
- Application Form for International Students with the signiture of the applicant

6、Admission
The shortlisted applicants shall receive an email of admission by May 5, 2017.
7、Program Duration
June 18–July 8, a total of 19-day course (no classes on weekends: June 24–25, July 1-2).
